In this review the work of philosopher Ingo Elbe „Marx in the West.  The New Reading of Marx in the Federal Republic of Germany since  1965“ (Akademie Verlag: Berlin 2008, 643 pp.) is appreciated to be a  profound reconstruction of the recent debates on the critique of the  political economy of Marx in German-speaking research.
